The arrival of airBaltic’s second CS300, YL-CSB (c/n 50004), has enabled the carrier to quickly expand the network of routes served by the new fuel-efficient airliner.

After the successful introduction of the CS100 into service with Swiss International Air Lines in July last year, manufacturer Bombardier turned attention to its larger sibling, the CS300, handing over the first production example to launch customer airBaltic just five months later. Speaking at the event on November 28 at the Canadian manufacturer’s Montréal, Mirabel facility, Martin Gauss, airBaltic’s CEO, remarked: “We’re thrilled to be taking home the first CS300 – the latest member of the most innovative and technologically advanced family of airliners in the world.
