Fabulous Farnborough


THE 2018 edition of the biennial Farnborough International Airshow got off to a scorching start both literally and metaphorically as aerospace manufacturers from around the globe went into battle for orders at the sundrenched Hampshire airfield. Not only were the temperatures soaring, so too the backlogs of the major aircraft manufacturers which had reached record levels even before the show started – for commercial aircraft on July 1, it stood at 15,367 aircraft, almost 1,000 units higher than the same point last year.
