FedEx Begins Operations at Teesside

Teesside International Airport welcomed its first FedEx flight on 3 June, signalling the start of a new chapter in the airport's cargo operations.

Under a recently established five-year agreement, FedEx Express, the global logistics giant, relocated its air cargo operations from Newcastle Airport to Teesside, a move aimed at meeting the growing demand for import and export services in the region.

FedEx will operate eight inbound and outbound flights per week, significantly enhancing Teesside Airport's cargo handling capabilities. The new operations are based out of Hangar 3, providing a weekly capacity for transporting 196,000 lb of cargo.
