Finnair is issuing diplomas for flying over the North Pole!

Finnair passengers onboard re-routed flights from Helsinki to Japan and South Korea are to receive a very special souvenir to mark the occasion.

The Finnish flag carrier’s links to the Far East have been severely impacted by the ban on flying through Russian airspace following Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. While services to Singapore and Phuket have been modified to fly southwards over the Middle East and India, flagship flights to the likes of Tokyo and Seoul now take an exciting new path over the North Pole – and that’s where the Finnair diploma comes in!
