The Ilmavoimat (Finnish Air Force) has announced that its Pilatus PC-12NG fleet has surpassed the 30,000-flight-hour milestone.
The air arm took to social media to announce that the fleet had reached the milestone on March 19.
Finland operates a fleet of six PC-12NGs in a communication and liaison role from Pirkkala air base in Tampere under the Satakunnan Lennosto’s (Satakunta Air Command’s) Tukilentolaivue (TukiLLv) 4 flight. The aircraft entered service in July 2010 – having been ordered in April 2009 at a cost of €22.5m – and replaced the air arm’s Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain fleet.
