In the September 2021 issue of Airliner World, German aviation journalist Andreas Spaeth shared his personal account of visiting Concorde at Heathrow on the day the United States came under attack in 2001

September 11, 2001 was flagged as an important one in my diary, long before the tragic events unfolded in the United States. Since my first flight on Concorde in 1993, as a young aviation reporter, the supersonic airliner was close to my avgeek heart as the most incredible flying machine I had – and have ever – experienced.
