Installing scenery (Part 1)

Dear PC Pilot,

I have seen a lot of very nice freeware airports, however, most of them need to be installed manually and I am really struggling to do this. Could you please explain how to do this in simple terms? I have downloaded several packages but the instructions are often very difficult to follow and the process seems to vary depending on which ones you install.

Cheers, George

Hi George,

Although installing scenery manually can appear complex, the process follows a fixed method which is common to both FSX and Prepar3D. The only difference is, depending on which scenery you install, you may have to copy files to different folders within the simulator.
