Flight Simulator Training – Part 6

Scenario-based training

It is Christmas Day, December 25 and you are transporting packages and passengers from Santa Claus Village at Rovaniemi (EFRO) in Finland. Your destination is Vantaa, Helsinki International Airport, near Finland’s capital city. The flight is just 377nm or about 30 minutes in a Boeing 737. You are the captain and pilot flying for this leg. You have just come from Ivalo (EFIV), the northern-most airport in the world. It was a short 10-minute hop and this is the last leg of the day. The aircraft weighs 155,492lb (70,500kg), with 134 passengers and six crew onboard.

In this lesson, we depart from Gate 8 at Santa Claus Village in Finland.
