
EUROPE’S LARGEST regional airline, Flybe, announced that is operating more flights from Southampton Airport to Paris/ Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam/ Schiphol. The boost in frequency – effective from October 27 – adds a total of 18 extra weekly flights to and from the two European hubs, throughout the airline’s 2019/2020 winter schedule. Roy Kinnear, the carrier’s chief commercial officer, said: “We are committed to growing our services from Southampton and so are pleased to offer our customers added choice this winter with more frequency on these very popular routes.”
In total, the airline expects to operate 14 routes from the Hampshire site, with up to 225 flights from the airport a week.
Neil Garwood, managing director at Southampton Airport, added: “Paris and Amsterdam are brilliant destinations, but also really great for connecting to the rest of the world.
