Flying Bulls Display Team: hangar tour

Lured to Austria by an access-all-areas visit and the chance to fly with the Flying Bulls, Luke Bimm discovered a museum unlike any other

Readers of last month’s FlyPast will remember our feature about the pristine B-25 Mitchell based at the Flying Bulls in Salzburg, Austria. FlyPast had been kindly offered the opportunity to fly in the aircraft to try to gain a small semblance of understanding of what the experience would have been like for the airmen who operated them in World War Two, but on arrival there was an unexpected bonus: it was immediately apparent that we had stumbled upon an incredible hidden gem of a museum and a collection of aircraft that richly deserved their own separate article and so this feature focuses on the Hangar-7 museum itself.
