FlyingIron Simulations’ P-38L Lightning

Raising the bar of warbird simulation

FlyingIron Simulations, though relatively new to the flight simulation scene, has rapidly acquired a reputation for producing exceptionally high-quality add-ons for both X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator (MFS). We have previously reviewed one of their aircraft, the Spitfire L.F. Mk.IXC for MFS, which appeared on the front cover of Issue 134 and received our coveted Platinum award. Since then, FlyingIron has produced a number of exciting World War Two aircraft simulations which, as well as the Spitfire, include the Republic P-47N Thunderbolt for X-Plane, and the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat and Lockheed P-38L Lightning, both for MFS – the latter of which is the subject of this review.
