The new app was rolled out last month at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) and Cleveland Hopkins (CLE), with plans to expand to further sites.

“Rolling this programme out across airports makes it a seamless process that can be scaled quickly as we bring additional airports and outlets onboard,” said Michael Mullaney, CEO of Fraport USA. “This is clearly a major benefit in the current landscape.”

Chris Hartman, chief experience officer at AtYourGate added: “We're thrilled to be partnering with Servy and Fraport USA to provide the delivery experience for these exciting new programs at BWI and CLE. These programmes will provide guests greater access to shopping and dining options while traveling, including the option for safe and convenient delivery right to their gate.”

Passengers will be able to place contactless orders using their devices, with the option of the food/drinks being delivered to a desired location.

QR codes are set to be placed around BWI, on places such as arm rests and in common seating areas. Additionally, for the hubs launch of the service, many restaurants and selected retail outlets were inaugurated onto the app.
