The new route to the popular holiday destination is set to operate thrice weekly
American low-cost carrier, Frontier Airlines has launched a new service linking Frederick Douglas/Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) with Orlando via nonstop flights.
The new route, which began yesterday (May 20), will operate three times a week.
Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial for Frontier Airlines, says the carrier is “elated” by the new service.
He said: “Frontier’s low fares and friendly service make it possible for more people to fly more often and we look forward to welcoming upstate New Yorkers onboard for their next sun-filled vacation this summer.”
Adam Bello, Monroe County executive, added: “With so many residents in Monroe County and the Finger Lakes region looking to enjoy the Florida sunshine throughout the year, I’m sure that nonstop flights to Orlando will be a hit for both Frontier Airlines and our local residents.”
