German government ACJ350s

AIRBUS CORPORATE Jets announced at the European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva on May 20, 2019, that the German Government has ordered three ACJ350-900 aircraft.

The ACJ350 has been ordered by private customers but the sale announced at EBACE 2019 is the first for a government customer.

Delivery of the first aircraft will occur in 2020 and the remaining two in 2022. The aircraft will be utilised for a mix of government VIP, military troop transport and medical evacuation missions.

ACJ said the outfitting of the cabin to accommodate the various roles will be facilitated by the company’s Easyfit concept, which has pre-installed fittings and standardised interfaces to simplify the installation of walls, furniture and role equipment in the A350’s carbon fibre fuselage.

The Luftwaffe’s Flugbereitschaft des Bundesministeriums der Verteidigung (FBS BMVg – Executive Transport Wing of the Federal Ministry of Defence) currently operates a mixed fleet of Airbus A340-313X, A310 MRTT, A319-115X, Bombardier Global 5000 and Airbus Helicopters AS532U2 aircraft.
