The Goodwood Flying School has announced a new set of flying scholarships for 2023 – including 15 hours of training in a Piper Cub
On Tuesday July 20, 2021, Goodwood suffered an immeasurable loss with the passing of Rob Wildeboer, the flying school manager, after a sudden illness. To remember and honour Rob in accordance with the wishes of his family, a number of scholarships were made available in 2022 to help students on their aviation journeys.
These were made possible by myriad donations from the UK aviation community, which held Rob in very high regard, and which enabled Goodwood to offer 50 hours of training. For 2023, the Goodwood Flying School is delighted to have even more scholarships available, all made possible by kind donations from the aviation community.
The Rob Wildeboer Scholarships available for 2023 are:
- 10 hours training in the Cessna 172
- 15 hours training in the Piper Cub
- 5 x day ground school sessions; the subject can be chosen by the recipient
In addition to the scholarships, Pooleys Flight Equipment has donated a number of PPL/LAPL Course Training Books to support the successful candidates.
