The Flysimware Grumman G-44A Widgeon for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available on Just Flight’s online shop.
The G-44A is a high-wing, twin-engine, amphibious light aircraft was produced by the Grumman Aerospace Corporation in the late 1930s. Dubbed the Widgeon, the prototype first flew in July of 1940. It is powered by two wing-mounted Ranger 6-440-C5 six-cylinder engines and has a maximum speed of 160 MPH, a climb rate of 1,750 feet per minute and a ceiling of 18,000 feet above sea level. A go-anywhere craft, the Widgeon combines piloting with exploration.
The aircraft from Flysimware features realistic flight dynamics along with 4K full PBR textures, sounds produced through Wwise and custom-coded gauges. Other highlights include five paint schemes, windshield rain effects and full exterior icing visuals. It comes with an array of Garmin and Bendix units in the virtual cockpit as well as a fully custom-coded checklist with an interactive co-pilot.
