How to design scenery – Part 1

As most of you will already know, the Microsoft Flight Simulator (MFS) package comes with over 80 hand-built airports that are generally quite stunning. On top of that, it includes just about every other airport on the planet. These can vary in detail from a quite reasonable representation of the real airport to a field with just a windsock, in which case you either have to wait until one of the third-party developers gets round to it or bite the bullet and see if you can make it look a bit more realistic yourself.
