After the lack of action last year, you could say that the air show season of 2021 is the sign of things getting back to normal. With that in mind, we've put together a list of the events in June that any historic aviation enthusiast - young or old - needs to experience!
Midlands Air Festival: 4-6th June
Expect a combination of night time aerobatic displays interspersed with lighting and pyrotechnics, vintage aircraft and hot air balloons. Ragley Hall Estate, Alcester, Warwickshire B49 5NJ.
Flying Festival of Britain Drive-in: 6th June
The Flying Festival replaced the very popular ‘Fly Navy’ air show in 2019. In 2021 the show is a celebration of innovation and remembering the 1951 Festival of Britain. Old Warden, Biggelswade, Bedfordshire SG18 9EP.
Duxford Flying Day: 6th June
Each of Duxford’s Flying Days will be themed and will allow visitors the chance to explore the museum and pop up displays and experiences before enjoying hours of flying. Duxford Cambs, CB22 4QR.
International Weston Park Model Show: 18-20th June (REDUCED SHOW)
Mostly models in this reduced show; the main show (including visiting full-sized aircraft) has been postponed until September. Weston Park, Weston-Under-Lizard, Shropshire TF11 8LE.
A Scurry of Chipmunks, Evening Air show Drive-in: 19th June
The evening air shows are retained in 2021. Opportunities to see the aircraft up close with some late afternoon and early evening flying. Old Warden, Biggelswade, Bedfordshire SG18 9EP.
Air-Britain Fly-in: 19-20th June
Air Britain’s 41st Fly-in. Turweston Aerodrome, Nr Brackey NN13 5YD.
Duxford Flying Day: 20th June

Battle of Britain Air show: 25-27th June
Battle of Britain display featuring representative aircraft of the Battle of Britain era and family friendly attractions. Headcorn Airfield, Nr Maidstone, Kent TN27 9HX.
