HondaJet notches up more orders


HONDA AIRCRAFT Company, manufacturer of the HA-420 HondaJet, announced it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 16 HondaJets with French Air Taxi operator Wijet during the Singapore Airshow.

Wijet was the first air taxi company in France and today operates a fleet of 15 business jets throughout Europe. Honda Aircraft President and Chief Executive Offcer Michimasa Fujino said: “I am delighted that Wijet has chosen the HondaJet to provide their customers with the exceptional experience of the most advanced light jet on the market. I am confident the HondaJet will meet and exceed their expectations.”

One HondaJet, N707FH (msn 42000069), was on display in the static aircraft park at the Changi Exhibition Centre, marking the type’s debut at the show.

Not to be outdone by the larger business aircraft manufacturers, Honda also announced on February 21 that the HondaJet was the most delivered business jet in its category for 2017, according to GAMA figures.

The company delivered 43 HondaJets, to customers in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia during 2017 and is currently building the aircraft at a rate of four aircraft per month at its facility in Greensboro, North Carolina.
