Hornets and Growlers ordered

Boeing has received a $678.7-million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command that provides for the procurement of seven Lot 40 EA-18G aircraft, associated airborne electronic attack (AEA) kits and five F/A-18Es. Work is expected to be completed in February 2019. Fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement funds were used for the purchase.

Apache contract awarded

Boeing received a $3.28-billion multi-year contract from the US Army that includes 244 AH‑64Es for the US Army over a period of five years as well as 24 helicopters for Saudi Arabia. The contract covers lot 7-11 full-rate production of remanufactured and new-build aircraft and remanufactured and new build Longbow crew trainers. It runs through June 30, 2022. Production of the AH-64E began in 2011.
