In the decade since its first flight, almost everything about the Bombardier C Series has changed. That is, apart from its impressive range and spacious cabin. Mark Broadbent reports on what is now the Airbus A220

Ten years is a long time in the aviation industry. Bombardier Aerospace began test-flying its innovative new airliner – the C Series – in September 2013. A decade later, the single-aisle type is now an Airbus product as Bombardier sold the aircraft programme in 2018. In between, the type has been the subject of an international trade spat, received new performance improvements and is a fixture of the airline scene.
