Rebuilding An-225: How Microsoft is helping resurrect Mriya

Work is well underway to revive the iconic An-225 following its destruction in the opening days of the war in Ukraine. Thomas Haynes speaks to Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator about its unique initiative to support the rebuilding project.

“It was not so much an idea, but rather it simply felt like the right thing to do,” said Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator as he recalled how the idea of digitally recreating the An-225 came about.
