How Newquay benefits from Eastern's London link

Aviation’s value to remote communities is being demonstrated once again, with a welcome return of year-round scheduled services between Cornwall and London, as Bernie Baldwin reports

Eastern Airways has launched a new PSO (Public Service Obligation) route between Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY) and London/Gatwick. The maiden sortie on December 15, 2021 was operated by G-IACZ, (c/n 1482), one of Eastern’s ATR 72-600s, and represented a return to year-round flying from the region to London.
