How UK start-up flypop plans to make low-cost long-haul work

Despite the turmoil of the pandemic, 2021 is shaping up to be one for starting an airline. Key.Aero sits down with (Nino) Navdip Singh Judge, the founder and chief executive of flypop to find out his strategy for success in the notoriously difficult budget transcontinental market

To say that the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for the airline industry would probably be an understatement. For the last 16 months, airlines have been clinging on while the virus has wreaked havoc around the world.

But for a select few, this period of uncertainty has been an opportunity to expedite the launches of new carriers. One such example is flypop, a new British low-cost long-haul airline that plans to begin flights linking the UK with secondary cities in South Asia from October.
