Hurricane V7497 flies again

Following a ground-up rebuild by Hawker Restorations, Hurricane I V7497/G-HRLI made its irst post-restoration light at Elmsett near Ipswich on 30 August with Stu Goldspink at the controls. The former No 501 Squadron machine has been inished in the SD-X codes it wore on 28 September 1940 when it was shot down while operating from Kenley, Plt Off Everett Bryan Rogers bailing out unhurt. Once testing is complete, in mid-September the Hurricane is due to be delivered to Duxford, from where it will be operated.
