Raising the bar of helicopter simulation
Newcomer Hype Performance Group (HPG) has set the flight simulation rotary world alight with its Airbus H145 helicopter. Followers of its development have been teased with early access versions but now it is available as a fully functioning product.

Introducing HPG
Unless you’re a bit of a rotor head, you may not have come across HPG before. It kicked off in 2020 when Steve Daniels and Dave Amenta got together to produce some avionic add-ons for the Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) Icon A5. Brimming with enthusiasm, they decided to really raise the bar by developing a helicopter for MSFS. As mentioned in our HPG Hot Air Balloon review, starting on page 48, their freeware H135 project was a stunner and utilised a third-party freeware add-on – AirlandFS – to provide the correct helicopter physics to MSFS which until very recently has been lacking.
