Operating at 29 Spanish airports, on peak days IAS expects to service more than 1,000 flights and has brought almost its entire fleet of 9,000 ground vehicles and 7,000 staff members back into operation to meet this demand.

These factors should ensure that Iberia recovers to around 80% of the peak-day volume that it achieved in 2019 during July and August.

The handler has been working to smooth the airport experience for passengers travelling during the pandemic and has tailored check-in, boarding and arrival protocols to meet the different requirements of its airline clients and to ensure the highest levels of safety from Covid-19.
