iniBuild's Airbus A 300-600 Tutorial - Part 3

Final work with the FMC

Welcome back once again to Condor Flight CFG8055 to La Palma in the Canary Islands. In our last instalment, we began the process of loading all the flight details to the Flight Management Computer (FMC). We made it through the initialisation process and ploughed into the weights and balances section. In this article, we'll be finishing up the last of our FMC work, adding our route to the computer and sorting out our V-speeds to boot. With all that said, let's dive in and get started.

Route programming

Clicking on the RTE page will bring up our route, or as it is right now, our start and finish points, and nothing else. We need to fill in the gaps starting with our departure from Düsseldorf. Our route is described in the accompanying box-out (on page 55) entitled ‘Route programming’ to make it easier to follow. For now, we'll ignore the numbers at the beginning of the route and concentrate on the first block of text.
