Oh my goodness, it's finally happening. After what seems like an age, we're almost ready to seal up the Airbus A300 and push back from the gate. The passengers are all on board, the breakfast beers have been flowing in the terminal and there's a party atmosphere on board. So, let's push on, finish up our prep and get moving.

The FMC (Flight Management Computer) is set, the passengers settled in and boarding is completed. Before we request our pushback, we need to do a few confirmation checks to ensure all is well. The APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is running, as we needed to set that for the autopilot panel to work. Now let's deal with the final pieces. First, we need to confirm the IRS (Inertial Reference System) is aligned. This is easy since our Primary Flight and Navigation displays will be working correctly, showing us our route and so on. In short, these displays look normal.
