Inside all-Boeing 747 airline Cargolux

James Ronayne visited Cargolux to learn about the carrier’s operations and his article appeared in the November 2015 issue of Aviation News.

Cargolux has become a well-established name in the freight market since its inception in March 1970.  Europe’s biggest all-cargo airline transports freight on both scheduled and charter services between more than 90 destinations in its worldwide network using a fleet of 25 Boeing 747 freighters.  It employs 1,800 people, around 1,400 of whom are based in Luxembourg, where the company is headquartered.
