Inside the factory: preparing an A380 for delivery

In the April 2014 issue of Aviation News, Martyn Cartledge visited Toulouse and Hamburg to explain the process involved after an Airbus A380 leaves the production hall until delivery to an airline.

The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest airliner. Some 180 are in service with 13 airlines, and one takes off or lands every three minutes. Building this gigantic aircraft is only part of the production process, as there’s still a lot of work to be done before the first passenger steps on board.
