Bell announced on August 14, 2018, that it had delivered two Bell 429 helicopters to the Jamaican Defence Force. A third helicopter will be delivered in 2019 and the leet will be used for SAR, humanitarian aid and disaster relief, medevac and national security missions.

Jamaican Defence Force Colonel Adjutant Quartermaster Colonel Roderick Williams said: “Over the years our mission has evolved, resulting in the need to acquire the Bell 429 to more efectively meet the demands of our mission proiles and further prove our rotary wing capability

…The Bell 429 ofers excellent performance and advanced avionics with outstanding maintainability and aircraft readiness for multimission operations.”

According to Bell, the Jamaican Defence Force’s active leet includes four Bell 407s, two Bell 412s and two Bell 206 JetRangers.
