Japanese Pegasus enters production

BOEING BEGAN ASSEMBLING the first KC-46A aerial refueling tanker for Japan at its 767 production facility in Everett, Washington on September 11.

It received a Foreign Military Sales contract from the USAF in December 2017 and an option for a second Pegasus was converted in December 2018. Once assembly is completed, the unique mission systems will be installed at the contractor’s modification center in Everett and flight testing will commence at Boeing Field.
