In brief

Skyworld Aviation has been selected to assist in remarketing two Embraer 135LR aircraft previously flown by JetGo Australia. Both aircraft, VH-JZG (c/n 145713) and VH-JGB (c/n 145728), were manufactured in 2003 and have undergone an increased design weight modification giving them enhanced long-range capabilities. The sale follows the July 5 liquidation of the carrier after court action by Dubbo Regional Council, New South Wales a major creditor of the airline.

Hong Kong is the next destination for the Qantas fleet of Boeing 787-9s. The move is timed to coincide with arrival of the airline’s eighth Dreamliner, which will join its Airbus A330 and A380 aircraft on the route. Passengers flying on selected flights from Brisbane (from December 19), Melbourne (between December 13 and March 29) and Sydney from March 30 will experience the Dreamliner’s next-generation economy, premium economy and business class cabins on the route.
