Jewel in Singapore’s Crown

Designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, Changi Airport’s latest arrival – known as Jewel – features a mesmerising dome-shaped facade made of glass and steel. Wilbur Sargunaraj speaks with Hung Jean, CEO of the new development, to learn more.

Singapore/Changi has been crowned by Skytrax for seven consecutive years as the world’s best airport and travellers who have set foot under its bright, vaulted roof know exactly why. While other airports can feel like processing plants for weary travellers, Changi already felt significantly different – and that was before the arrival of Jewel.
