Just Flight has announced it is working on a PA-38 Tomahawk for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Currently being developed by Just Flight's in-house team, the aircraft is modelled on a real-life Tomahawk, G-BNKH, based at Goodwood Aerodrome.

The aircraft will feature 4K paint schemes, PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials with realistic wear and tear, custom animations and ground equipment.

A virtual cockpit is modelled with 3D instruments, IFR capable avionics and a tablet EFB for controlling various aircraft options. It will also come with custom-coded fuel and electrical systems with functional circuit breakers and failures such as spark plug fouling, limited battery life, vapour lock and more.

The custom Wwise sound set is based on high-fidelity recordings from a real-life PA-38, while the flight dynamics are based on real-world performance and handling data with input from Tomahawk pilots.
