Just Flight’s Tornado F3 Interview

There’s a storm brewing…

Ever since I can remember, I’ve had an interest in everything to do with flight and later flight simulation. During that time I’ve had many ‘current’ favourite military aircraft; some from times past and some were simply the latest, fastest or meanest-looking. They range from the iconic Spitfire to the F-35, yet between these I had a particular fondness for the English Electric Lightning, F-4 Phantom and the Panavia Tornado. I remember standing at the end of the runway at RAF St Athan, watching two GR1 Tornados taking off with full afterburner; that was the first time I had experienced pain attributed to sound. So I was pleased to learn that Just Flight was currently working on a new version of the Tornado – having previously released a GR1 variant. This time round, the UK-based company is developing the Tornado F3 - the Air Defence Variant (ADV) which entered service with the RAF in 1986. To learn more about this product, I got in touch with Just Flight’s Development Manager, Martyn Northall.
