The unveiling of the special livery was witnessed by many dignitaries, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea

Korean Air has hosted an event as its Seoul Incheon International Airport hangar to unveil a special livery supporting the country’s bid to host the World Expo in 2030.

The livery has been painted on Boeing 777-300ER HL7204 (c/n 60380), and celebrates one of Korea’s largest exports – K-pop group BLACKPINK.

BLACKPINK are currently on a global tour, for which Korean Air signed into a partnership in March to become the official airline sponsors.

The specially painted 777 will leave Seoul for Paris Charles de Gaulle on May 4, 2023, and the airline said it will “make stops in multiple destinations served by the 777-300ER fleet on the airline’s global network.”

The airline also said it will be featuring video clips prominently on its in-flight entertainment system and throughout Seoul Incheon International Airport, whist the carrier’s in-flight magazine also has features on the Korean World Expo bid throughout.
