The team has been working to replace the existing lighting in X-Plane 11 with an entirely new photometric lighting model.
The internal development has been revolving around what the next generation of X-Plane technology will look like. It is a way to calculate and compose light in every frame of the simulator to create the underpinnings of the entire X-Plane visual experience. In light of that, the team has spared no effort to ensure that light is simulated as realistically as possible.
