THE HELLENIC AIR Force (HAF) has done an excellent job of putting ‘Iniohos’ at the forefront of large force employment exercises in Europe. Indeed, it has steadily grown in stature, attracting a range of serious participants. The Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare, AM) was the star of this year’s event hosted by the Air Tactics Center (ATC) at Andravida, exposing its shiny new F-35As to the outside world. As the twoweek exercise kicked o_ on April 1, the appearance of the Lightnings was no half-baked, handcuffed effort. They took full advantage of the Greek ranges and were happily releasing air-to-ground ordnance alongside their fellow participants.
