'Little Birds' for Thailand

THE US DEFENSE Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) recently notified the US Congress of the potential sale of eight Boeing AH-6i light attack/reconnaissance helicopters and associated equipment to Thailand in a deal worth around $400 million.

The ‘Little Birds’ would replace seven AH-1F Cobra attack helicopters that have been in service with the Royal Thai Army since the 1980s. The Thai government also requested AGM-114R Hellfire missiles and laser-guided Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) rockets, M134 Miniguns, and other systems, weapons, and equipment.
