Loganair chief executive on APD and future of PSO routes

Speaking exclusively to Key.Aero, Jonathan Hinkles – the chief executive of Loganair – weighs in on the UK government's approach to domestic air travel taxation and the future of public service obligation routes

In the last few years, Loganair has been granted at least 12 public service obligation (PSO) routes, which Hinkles said accounts for under 10% of the overall business. The publicly-funded system is designed to ensure connectivity when the market fails to provide a level of air service.
