• The pilot of an Indian Air Force Hawk Mk132 from the Surya Kiran display team was killed in a mid-air collision with another Hawk during a practice ahead of the Aero India show in Bengaluru on February 18. Two pilots in the second Hawk ejected safely. The accident occurred near Isro in Nagenahal, around 10 miles (17km) from Yelahanka Air Force Station, from where the jet trainers had taken off. • An Indian Air Force MiG-27 crashed during a training mission on the Pokhran range in Rajasthan on February 12. The pilot ejected safely and landed near Eta village in Jaisalmer district.
