The chief executive of Heathrow has revealed that the airport will be unprofitable for the remainder of the year and issued a stark warning about this winter’s flying programme. The insights come despite a leap in demand in air traffic following an “unexpectedly quick removal” of all UK inbound travel restrictions in mid-March.
