Scenery developers, Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini have released Machu Picchu, Perù for X-Plane 11.
Sitting at an altitude of 2,430m or nearly 8,000ft, Machu Picchu is the third-largest archaeological site in the world and is known for its impressive Inca ruins. It is also a UNESCO heritage site with approximately 1 million visitors a year.
The scenery package for X-Plane covers the area with authentic terrain, 3D objects and vegetation reconstructed with 4K textures and processed from actual on-site photos. The village of Aguas Calientes and S.Teresa are also modelled with typical buildings, hotels and residential areas.
The nearby grass-runway and three heliports have also been faithfully recreated:
- Machu Picchu airport (XLPMH)
- Machu Picchu heliport (HLPMH)
- Machu Picchu area archaeological heliport (HLMPC)
- Aguas Calientes Heliport (HLPAC).
