Passengers are able to acquire a PCR or antigen test at the site dependent on their travel requirements
Swedavia has signed a contract with Nordic testing firm, Scantest, under the Swedish public procurement act to set up a test centre at Malmo Airport.
The company carries out PCR and antigen procedures at the hub and presents passengers with a travel certificate if a negative result is obtained.
“Naturally, we think it is very positive that we can now offer a service for which there is strong demand and that is absolutely crucial to our passengers and airlines at Malmo Airport,” said Karis Ohrstrom, airport director at Malmo Airport. “The tests are important with the restart of air travel and in many cases are a necessary complement to the EU Covid-19 certificate.”
Passengers are able to use the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ Resklar travel app to inform them on the latest travel requirements for individual destinations.
On June 21, Stockholm Arlanda Airport also opened a 24-hour Covid-19 test centre with ExpressCare.
