Flight simulation developer, MicroProse has announced it has reacquired the copyright to the popular F-16 Falcon series.
In a nod to Benchmark Simulations, MicroProse said: "We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible work that the Benchmark Sims team has done with their BMS mod for Falcon 4.0. We recognise the passion and dedication they have brought to the Falcon community and we are committed to fully supporting their efforts in any way possible. With MicroProse's support, there is no end in sight for the work of the BMS Team. The future of the Falcon franchise looks bright, and we can't wait to share more with you soon.”
The Falcon series pushed the limits of what was thought possible for desktop flight simulation, setting a benchmark for highly realistic flight models, terrain, radar and weapon systems. It is commonly recognised as the best civilian F-16 simulation available, recreating the flight characteristics and armament of the real F-16 with advanced radar systems and terrain that conforms precisely to military maps of the areas.
