Since our last progress report, Asobo Studio has released a series of updates to provide us with an insight into the ongoing development of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Highlights include an in-depth overview of the sound engine, new features such as snow, an update on the Alpha recruitment process and the current state of the Software Development Kit (SDK).
To welcome in the New Year, the development team released a video teaser confirming seasons will feature in the upcoming Flight Simulator, including highly authentic snow effects.

The video also showcased different parts of the world from cities to rural and mountainous locations with details such as snow on runways and roads while some roads appeared to be clear of snow.
