Microsoft Flight Simulator

Since our last Developer’s Diary, Asobo Studios has released several updates on the ongoing development of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Highlights this time include two major Alpha releases, a new episode in the Feature Discovery Series (IFR), further partnership announcements and the continued development of the Software Development Kit (SDK). Finally, the development team revealed the computer specification needed to run the upcoming flight simulator.

The Airbus A320 neo was released for community testing to finalise the aircraft for launch.

The development team released Alpha Build version 1.2.10 in April. Along with new content and bug fixes, one of the highlights was the addition of the Airbus A320neo for community testing. This is an important step in the development process as the team explained: “We work together with the community to finalise the aircraft for launch.” Some of the key functions they wanted the community to focus on include:
