The latest World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator covers Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar, enhancing the Iberian Peninsula with high-resolution geographic improvements such as updated elevation data and aerial imagery.
The package also adds 99 custom points of interest as well as improved data for 100 existing airports. More than 1,000 missing airports have also been added to the simulator globally. Moreover, World Update VIII features new photogrammetry cities: Lisbon, Barreiro, Malaga, Bilbao, Cascais and Coimbra and four hand-crafted airports: La Seu d’Urgell Airport (LESU), Pico (LPPI), Faro (LPFR) and A Coruna(LECO).

New activities include bush trips to explore the Iberian Peninsula, the Pyrenees and Mediterranean coast, and five landing challenges: Girona, Bilbao, Pico Airport, Leon and Portimão. Discovery flights for Madrid, Barcelona, Coimbra, Gibraltar and Lisbon are also included. World Update VIII is free to all owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
